Retro Work... Oil Paintings

My very first oil painting was given away as a gift and there is no record of that one. These are the only copies of my next oil paintings. Sad little polorids. I'd sold both of these to one of my teachers in high school way back when. The tiger was a direct copy from an old animal kingdom book I had. The ocean was from a black and white picture that I added my own spin on the colour to. (I'd lost two marks because the birds were blue not a realistic colour.)  

Oh well, live and learn. 

Funny how each year I keep promising myself I'll get back into painting. 
Perhaps posting these here will nudge me a bit more, to learn more and do more....
