I'd found a number of things... One item that sparked the inspiration for this doll was a lost child sole of a shoe. Thinking of terms of lost soles or souls I felt it appropriate to give this sole a rebirth in the way of a little warrior princess. She is made of the foam sole, drift wood, found rope bits, grey trim form something fabric, party ribbon, a rock and feathers all from the same beach in Georgian Bay. I'd stitched her together with some white thread I'd had on hand and wire from my champagne bottle. The "sword" on her back is a bone of some sort.. also from the beach. She is weighted down by a very flat rock under her skirt of feathers wired to her sole so she sits pretty..
